Hola,

Just put together a video to showcase projects that happened in 2013 and also in the beginning of 2014. The intensive work year had an beautiful end when we visited vvvv user io in tenerife for the Numacircuit festival.

With this review I also have to say thanks again to a couple of guys that share the interest in these topics and support on every end.

Non of the projects would have been possible with the efforts that the frequent users here put into the development, patching and documentation everyday.

And the special motivation is that this little island of vvvv is only virtual for a certain part.

The best thing is still when you run into the people in person.

So at this point some greetings to you which I am talking about.

Enjoy the Video.

PS: I am freelancer and looking for projects. Feel free to contact me anytime.

  • creating a three-dimensional geometric layout of lighting equipment in 3D
  • creating a developed layout view on a plane with address assignment and equipment grouping
  • creating visual effects scenarios

Main benefits of the new software:

  • real-time lighting equipment simulation with calculation of illuminance according to luminaire .ies files;
  • - more than 500 IntiLED luminaires with W, RGB, RGBW color modes and up to 40 pixels per device;
  • - handy tools for creating complex layouts for luminaires of varied types, with an option to assign to building model surfaces;
  • - full-fledged display of buildings and environment as 3D models as well as ability to display dynamic lighting effects in real time;
  • - tools for creating lighting scenarios at the multi sequenced timeline;
  • - support of the Art-Net protocol enabling use of a wide spectrum of additional equipment;
  • - support up to 256 Universes and several automatic DMX addressing modes.

The debut of the ALS took place on The Light+Building 2014 in Frankfurt from March 30 to April 4, 2014

Projectionmappingshow with Realtimetracking

m box created a 3:40 minutes long show film that incorporated an extended stage setting with 4x Full HD back projection on a 20 meters wide center stage screen and 5 x Full HD projection on 20 modular stage elements, which were 3D-tracked using the customized Black Trax tracking system.

The tracking system was used in combination with our V4 based media server to track the modular stage elements which were constantly moved around and positioned by stage performers. By providing the tracking info and delivering it to the V4 interface, the projection could be adjusted in realtime to project on the various different arrangements of the 20 modular stage elements, such as cubes, pyramids and vertical panels.

LINE SEGMENTS SPACE
Digital Emulsion, Nylon string
2013

An architectural web of threads subtends a null space. It hangs abstract and undefined, a set of thin positive elements segmenting the dark negative space between. Dynamic imaginary forms are articulated into the physical volume by the material of this thread, and the semi-material of the light. The visual gravity of the filaments occupying the space between.

During the ITB Berlin, the world’s leading travel show, the Vienna Tourist Board wanted to present not only the 2015 theme of Vienna, but also a book that was published for this very reason. Since the trade show is buzzing the form of presentation needed to stand out.

Since the theme is about the 150th anniversary of Vienna’s famous “Ringstraße” (a ring shaped boulevard in the inner city) we decided to create a circular shaped touchscreen exhibit. It gave access to the entire book in digital form and a slideshow with impressions from the Ringstraße. The touchscreen was flanked by two iPads offering the book as an audio book with a custom HTML5 interface we created.

Strukt was commissioned to design and program an interactive folio for the „Space“ exhibition at the Technical Museum in Vienna (http://www.technischesmuseum.at/ausstellung/space). Baroque engravings showing historical representations of the Earth and the solar system were used as source materials. These engravings represented a mix of scientific facts known at the time, mythical creatures and an all-powerful God presiding over it all. The folio was part of an elaborate exhibition, which dedicated more than 600 m² to the subject of space in all its facets. Visitors of the exhibition can browse through the pages via a gesture-based interface and get information on the different engravings and their authors. Hotspots hovering on the left side of the page can be triggered to zoom in on a specific spot on the engraving. This way the visitor can experience the whole richness of details of the engravings. The description of the selected area and its historical and thematic significance are displayed on the right side of the folio. The digital folio is bilingual, easily upgradeable and content can quickly be changed.
