When dealing with video in vvvv you have to choose between the nodes in the categories listed to the right.

Both worlds have their advantages and drawbacks and they interoperate through the EX9.Texture datatype.

This documentation covers mostly DShow9.

  • DShow9: Native video processing nodes in the DShow9 category are based on DirectShow.

  • CV.Image: Nodes of this category are based on the OpenCV library and provide computer vision and image processing functionality. The Image Pack is contributed by elliotwoods.

Two more options for the video playback:

  • Player (EX9.Texture) for the efficient playback of image sequences.
  • FileStream (EX9.Texture VLC) plays videos using the VLC media player. It is contributed by ft and is coming with the addonpack.

catweasel: bezier match not doing it for you? Or do you need GPU specifically?

mrboni: I meant a gpu version of B-Spline (3D Surface). I only found an approach using bicubic filtering on a texture (dx9 gpuparticles)

joreg: @mrboni that would be splinesgpu
