Che significa NIL?

NIL significa

  • uno spread che non contiene alcuna slice (neanche un dato...).

NIL non significa

  • uno spread con una slice col valore "0.0000"
  • uno spread di stringhe con una slice che contiene zero caratteri.

Normalmente gli oggetti sono sviluppati in maniera tale che se un qualsiasi input contiene uno spread vuoto, anche l'output risulta essere vuoto. Disegnare oggetti tramite spreads vuoti non restituisce alcun risultato.

Gli Spreads Vuoti vengono segnalati con un suggerimento che mostra il simbolo speciale Ø.

La stessa cosa vale se qualcuno nel forum parla di "NIL".

Come evitare il NIL

Nella maggior parte dei casi si vuole evitare uno Ø, perché può incasinare la parte del grafico che segue.

Come generare il NIL

A volte si può voler inserire uno Ø. Usare questi nodi:

Per generare o evitare NIL con i nodi Transform usare i nodi NIL (Node) e AvoidNIL (Node).

Diversamente da tutti gli altri valori, uno Ø in input nei nodi spreads, stringhe o colori NON verrà salvato con la patch (alla riapertura non troveremmo lo Ø come valore del pin, ma, nel caso di colori e stringhe, il valore di default).
Se si vuole impostare permanentemente qualsiasi input a Ø, connettere un nodo Select.
