the first entries of the new topics are lost too :(

elektromeier, Tuesday, Mar 14th 2006

how can one delete topics in a tiki? isnt it just an error?

elektromeier, Tuesday, Mar 14th 2006

@the asshole who delete the topics , we have a back up !!

sanch, Tuesday, Mar 14th 2006

looking forward to the berlin workshop, meeting u ampop and oschatz, the m12 guys are friends of mine :)

u7angel, Monday, Mar 13th 2006

Hi, I always get a Critical error, when enabeling Microsoft DV Capture Driver...did anyone experince this before? I posted a patch in the forum...thx

HardSteppa, Saturday, Mar 11th 2006

but a multiinput touchscreen would be cooler anyway, because input and visual feedback are on the same layer. (ok no tactile feedback thats a drawback)

elektromeier, Tuesday, Mar 7th 2006

http://www.midibox.org/midibox_gallery/elektromeier3.jpg and we even did a prototype: http://www.midibox.org/midibox_gallery/noskule1.jpg too bad we havent a patent on this ;)

elektromeier, Tuesday, Mar 7th 2006

Build your own MIDI box with these nice modulair buttons/ faders from mawzer (can some one send me their creditcard info $$) http://www.mawzer.com/news.php

zepi, Monday, Feb 27th 2006

@u7angel: this is wonderful stuff...

zepi, Monday, Feb 27th 2006

@zepi...this is going to be part of a dance performance...

u7angel, Monday, Feb 27th 2006

@zepi: this is u7angel stuff http://vvvv.meso.net/tiki-index.php?page=UserPageu7angel

sanch, Monday, Feb 27th 2006

say: screenshot 1827:" I am from dna dancer sketch" is about contemporary dance or about something else?

zepi, Monday, Feb 27th 2006

motion blur patch: http://vvvv.meso.net/tiki-index.php?page=TonfilmsPatches

tonfilm, Monday, Feb 27th 2006

Yeah They way I would implement it (this is how its done in most game engines) is to lerp between the current and previous frames. Ati has a more complicated version I can look into though

mtallen, Sunday, Feb 26th 2006

@XNDR you can do motion blur with feedback or a low alpha quad and dont clear the renderer ...

tonfilm, Sunday, Feb 26th 2006

@u7angle. Nah they are pretty easy to implement. I am now trying to learn vvvv in general and I am finding myself having to forget a lot of PD habits

mtallen, Sunday, Feb 26th 2006

@mtallen...busy little bee :)

u7angel, Sunday, Feb 26th 2006

@mtallen: great work, now we can almost emulate photoshop in V4 ;-) Do you think it's possible to create a motion blur shader?

XNDR, Sunday, Feb 26th 2006

Added the Photoshop Levels shader. :) Have at it!

mtallen, Sunday, Feb 26th 2006

Updated the polar coordinates file, with a better help file, and various inputs to the shader

mtallen, Saturday, Feb 25th 2006

hey! they used my poor screenshot from indrani-interface ^_- yeah*

morphopeleides, Saturday, Feb 25th 2006

david, Friday, Feb 24th 2006

@oschatz... hello to moldavia :)

u7angel, Friday, Feb 24th 2006

hello from chisinau http://www.art.md/2005/06_edu_en.html

oschatz, Friday, Feb 24th 2006

does anyone have a hint in terms of where to buy touchscreens in germany ? good brand, different sizes ?

u7angel, Friday, Feb 24th 2006

I'm currently working on a realtime VJ tool, I think that I'm going to use your shaders for some extra nice realtime output effects. I'm still experimenting, but it looks promising!!!

XNDR, Friday, Feb 24th 2006

XNDR, Aesome! just make cool stuff with 'em! And post it!

mtallen, Friday, Feb 24th 2006

@mtallen: The Polar patch looks good! I finally bought a new graphics card yesterday (shader model 3.0 support) to try your patches. The blend and mask effects are really great! I love photoshop blend modes!

XNDR, Friday, Feb 24th 2006

PolarCoordinates.fx is done. Check out the shader page

mtallen, Friday, Feb 24th 2006

yes in 10mn

sanch, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

@sanch, the current implementation is through a pixel shader, by transforming the incoming texture coordinates. I'm on irc now if you want to discuss

mtallen, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

@mtalle: did you want to do it with vertex shader?or pixel shader as a texture effect?

sanch, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

@XNDR, one of his links had a nice lense falre as a pixel shader, fully documented. For the record I am going to stay away from some of the cheesy filters :) sorry. The polar coordinates thing actually really interests me though, so I started that one

mtallen, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

@oschatz: Do you think it would be possible to implement effects like the 3DSMax video post lensflares in a realtime shader?

XNDR, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

hi, newbie question. i can't reproduce in filestream video archives written with vvvv, but those with logitech cam yes. what can i do?

edu, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

mmh lenseflares.. but seriously: with the advent of high dynamic range textures (think floating point rgb channels) the flares actually start to make sense - and are more beautiful than in the 90ies

oschatz, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

Ah yeah, pagecurl kicked ass! I think lensflare is the last one missing from the list. This should keep mtallen busy for some time now.. No seriously, keep up the good work!

XNDR, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

page curl :)

oschatz, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

Don't forget to include the amazing bevel and emboss effects, which you saw on every website a couple of years ago!

XNDR, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

wo wir grad beim thema sind: http://www.bodenstandig.de/bauernregeln/bauernregeln.htm

elektromeier, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

@max, exactly! if i had some dropshadow shaders, everything would become dropshadowed, and glowing an with fancy colorgradients ;)

elektromeier, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

yes layereffects from photoshop... and some filters maybe... ^^

bigbabou, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

dropshadow disease = Atom Heart = classic electro gig!?

max, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

Time for some spam protection? :/

ErnstHot, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

i would like to have the photoshop layer effects, like dropshadow, contours, glows, fill with gradients etc... its a drop shadow disease...

elektromeier, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

edu, you have to fade the alpha channel of the geometry (the quad for example) not the layer. check out the "set alpha (color)"-node

elektromeier, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

hi, ins there an easy way to fade in-out ex9 layers?

edu, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

@sanch...this is dome projections, i'm working on this but split into 6 seperate projections. cool that more ppl are into it. will update the dome thread next week with progress and problems

u7angel, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

yeah and you can use it as a fish eye

sanch, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

@sanch: Ahh I see is it a dome projection system? Like a skybox/Sphere in a game. I will do some research.

mtallen, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

@sanch: Is it just a polar coordinates? Or is it something more complex that my brain doesnt get? Not that changing cordinate systems isnt complex :)

mtallen, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

@mtallen:that´s will be very interesting if you can do this effect as a vertex shader : http://www.lochness.com/imagelib/cat_o/o4__.jpg

sanch, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

he cat, yeah amazing...sanchette, new shader and we have some pipet freeframe thing in the pipeline, i just love this community ;)

u7angel, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

Thanks folks. I am currently working on a "levels" type of shader. If you want something specific (and it fits with what I am doing) feel free to ask here or post in the shader forums (Or just send me a mail). shader

mtallen, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

Wow lots of activity! u7angel, another cool video!

catweasel, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

yeah thanksalot mtallen! can make wishes what photoshopfeature we want too? ;)

elektromeier, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

awesome shader ! thanx mtallen

u7angel, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

Yup cool shaders!

catweasel, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

@mtallen; respect! thanks for the photoshop shaders..

oschatz, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

@newk: apply for an internship. but honestly i dont see any reason to include OpenGl when DX can do almost anything equally well - the hardware is the same anyway..

oschatz, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

is/will there be OpenGL rendering in vvvv?

newk, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

must be something dumb on my end! Thanks.

mtallen, Sunday, Feb 19th 2006

irc.belwue.de works fine ...

tonfilm, Sunday, Feb 19th 2006

is irc down? I am having no luck connecting to irc.fu-berlin.de (Unauthorized Connection)

mtallen, Sunday, Feb 19th 2006

@zepi: i suspect you to have sell my idee to the asian when you was in tokyo ; )

sanch, Sunday, Feb 19th 2006

http://www.iamas.ac.jp/~aka/dspbox/

zepi, Sunday, Feb 19th 2006

for the alu-cover you'll do some fancy cnc-engraving, right?

zepi, Sunday, Feb 19th 2006

wow...the sanchette looks superfine!

zepi, Sunday, Feb 19th 2006

@u7angel: no the pc is not inside

sanch, Saturday, Feb 18th 2006

@sanch, thanks... And that controller of yours... wow :)

ErnstHot, Saturday, Feb 18th 2006

@sanch, i have to admit ur controller looks a lot better than my russian design knob box ;) is the pc inside the box?

u7angel, Saturday, Feb 18th 2006

the sanchette http://vvvv.meso.net/tiki-index.php?page=sanchette

sanch, Saturday, Feb 18th 2006

posted my stickyKey under patches instead of modules. sorry

dns, Friday, Feb 17th 2006

@ernshot : some texture path are missing and a shader to , but nice

sanch, Friday, Feb 17th 2006

I uploaded the patch for those symmetric screenshots I posted, if anyone's interested.

ErnstHot, Friday, Feb 17th 2006

good night

moustikopat, Friday, Feb 17th 2006

Nice... http://youtube.com/watch?v=zp-y3ZNaCqs

sven, Friday, Feb 17th 2006

@screenshoter, been meaning to get round to that! Cheers!
