The Holodeck.

Inspired by Kalle's 3d led-matrix found on his userpage. I thought it to be a good learning experience to try recreating it. This is the result.

The Solar System.

After watching Carl Sagan's documentary "Cosmos" (youtube.com/watch?v=uBDpKYJcUms). I wanted to make my own little uiverse. This is what i've made so far. :)

When i look at stuff like this i tend to become incredibly humble towards it all. How arrogant are we as humanity in the greater scheme of things? Considering the documentary was shot in 1980 with the nuclear threat on both sides of the fence still present gives a different aspect to his "cries" for responsibility and understanding.

The Stereocamera

If you own two webcams, you can create your own stereocamera! By alligning them next to each other and directing them towards the same image. Combining those two images will get the desired effect. Unfortunately i do not own two identical webcams, so the difference in image quality distorts the effect. But it still works. So get out those silly glasses!

Alligning them correctly takes some skill but it's a cool toy to play with.
