Help creates a spread of values randomly filling a range

Here you are supposed to see an image (rendered with SVG) describing the pins of this node. However, this does not work with Internet Explorer. You may want to consider using another browser, like FireFox, Chrome, Safari or Opera that do support SVG.

try changing the input and width pins. this will move and
scale the range. Each random seed will generate one unique pattern
of random values.

the values generated are fully reproducible and are not random in any sense. You can build your patches on the fact, that each random spread with the same seed will genereate exactly the same values on all machines.
if you dont need that behaviour, build a patch which will calculate an unique seed out of something like the MAC adress of your machines and the system time.
