Image scanner

hello,

I create a large scanner in front of a 4 meter wide, two meters high wallpaper.

4 x 2 x 2048/2048 Pixel texture for the sliding background image in two moveable hd displays.

up to here everything works fine

what about if I have to show big transparent image parts. Can I put each image in one seperate layer? or is just too slow. (each with 8 image 2048x2048 with transparency)

who has experience with it

ok, I have to make for each texture layer, with the cross node and linearspreads, my big texture layer and put this into a quad? or is there a way to do this with a shader to blend between these textures?

third layer: 4 x 2 images with 2048x2048 px (transparent image)

second layer: 4 x 2 images with 2048x2048 px (transparent image)

first layer: 4 x 2 images with 2048x2048 px (background image)
