Dual projection with a laptop

Hi,

I want to build an installation with two projectors.

If I understand it correctly I’ll need to use a graphics card with two outputs, right? But are there decent external graphic cards for a laptop which let me do this? Or would you advise me to use a desktop computer instead?

The best ones are nvidia, right?

Thanks,
Nuno

I suggest a desktop machine…

But there are dual- or triplehead devices from matrox which might work with a laptop

hi,

I am currently testing this
Digitus Svga Grafikkarte Usb 2.0

If you don’t need DirectX and very fast output it seems to work fine, however it is limited by USB 2.0 speed.

I will require speed so desktop will be the way to go, if I do go, because this is still an idea.

thank you both!

Nuno

most laptops have an VGAoutlet which allows you to connect a second screen. you could connect a matrox triplehead to go to have your laptop’s screen plus 3 additional screens.

That’s great Kalle, I didn’t know about this. Thanks!
