It would be nice if you could set the vst folder so that if you already have you won’t have to make copies of all vst instruments/effects you want to use with vvvv.
it would be quite interesting to run the vvvv against a large collection of plugins. it would be great to post which VST plugins work fine and which ones have problems. i fear it makes somehow sense to put only a selection into vvvv´s folder - please try…
for changing the vst folder - this is somehow against vvvv´s convention over configuration spirit. Note that if you really need this there is this hidden
NTFS junction point feature in windows, which might help you creating a link to a folder somewhere else into vvvv´s folder.
p.s. in fact wikipedia just pointed me to my very first observable windows vista benefit: under vista it seems to be possible to put that linked folder on a network volume
