This is my first time ever using this kind of software - I am currently doing a Masters in Physics, my masters project is to build a multi touch screen.
But right now I am having a problem with connecting my camera and vvvv, as soon as my webcam is plugged in and I run any vvvv program either the camera stops responding or vvvv does. Could anyone please help me figure out the problem. Please remember I’m a bit of a newbie!! Thank you.
Which OS are you on (XP, Vista, 32 or 64 bit)?
Which GFX-Card (Ati/Nvidia, Model), driver-version?
Which camera do you use, driver-version?
And please post your patch (a patch that shows your problem).

I’m using Trust Webcam Live 15824 - that’s about all I know about the camera.
I’m using the patch ‘CamShiftTracker’ this doesnt respond when my camera is plugged in, if webcam is not plugged in then the patch opens up fine…

That’s what is read from the TTY Renderer but the camera has no video capture hardware - it generally works but running this program it just completely malfunctions! I’m not sure what I’m meant to do exactly when I open the patch!

Right Click on the IObox where it says “select your camera here” and select your camera. If it works you should see an image displayed in the Ex9 renderer. If it doesn´t work there should be some error message in the TTY renderer.
I downloaded an older version of vvvv, I think the problem was that my lab desktop couldn’t handle running both vvvv and my webcam but using an older version it now works.
