mr. lavalava... mhm.

boombastic rrrromantic interactive installation at the "tag der region" in ludwigshafen, germany. stepping onto the projection caused the "ground" to break up, revealing an lava-like texture below.

the former bundeskanzler, dr. kohl, was at the party, but instead of playing with my projection (he would have been a great tracking "target", that´s for sure) he choose to stay at his seat the whole evening. böh.

client/art direction: christian fernandez, kuehlhaus AG.

thanks: the incredible thomas schäfer for conrad-debugging & probeaufbaukompetenz.

test drive video: vvvv at dau, kölle

video from the probeaufbau- please note that the camera-tracking is vvvvery inaccurate due to the limited dimensions of my room...
and, of course, it was projected on the wall...

polyrhythm: sweet, thanks! i figured i'd be doing c++ with a 4kb

evvvvil: @polyrhythm: No software, pure C++ and GLSL. IQ's 4kb framework does help, but get your text coding gloves on. http://www.iquilezles.org/code/isystem1k4k/isystem1k4k.htm
