wanted: dongle testers

dear commercial users of vvvv,

it has been brought to our attention that you're looking for a way to protect your precious patches from some untrustworthy bunch.

для Вашего большой бизнеса

as announced during the keynode at node13 such a system is now in place and ready for testing. interested parties who are owners of an active (not older than a year) vvvv license please send an email with their postal address to licensing@vvvv.org to apply for a test-dongle. you'll then receive further instructions.

pricing and public availability still to be announced.

hi,joreg.sorry for asking, dongle by meaning the patch only running with it? and also the patch has some sort of encryption protection? so can't be seen your "source code"(i mean the original patch)
cheers

indeed: you'll be able to encrypt your patches so that vvvv can only open them if it sees a correct dongle attached.

joreg: @beryl see what you mean. nothing promised. meanwhile you find the same info in \lib\nodes and \addonpack\lib\nodes\ nodelist.xml

Beryl: This makes searching for keywords (with crtl F) on the page only partly helpfull as many results do not appear.

Beryl: The help section is partially obscured here:vvvv.org/documentation/node-reference.

joreg: @beryl please be more specific: what exactly are you looking for and where?

~2d ago

Beryl: Please Please Please make the help on node reference page fully viewable and searchable!!!
