i am having some difficulties with this node. see here: https://discourse.vvvv.org/t/ocr/17850
@dEp , have you tried the 32bit version of vvvv ? not sure which lib version i used here. and it is really just a simple code example. just check it out. if it doesn‘t work, its most likely a library problem aka dependency.
i would not spend to much time with this because the results are mediocre. makes more sense to look for a better solution.
haven't tried this, but probably it would offer the best results: https://azure.microsoft.com/de-de/services/cognitive-services/computer-vision/#detect-text here is an example of how to use azure cognitive services: https://discourse.vvvv.org/t/azure-speech-recognizer-demo/17251
and i'm sure google offers a similar service if you don't wanna go for ms/azure..
obviously those require a network connection and have additional costs.
