Me

I'm Joanie Lemercier, I work as a visual artist.
I love B&W, minimal, and rather geometrical visuals.
vvvv addict.

mapping toolkit (pre-alpha)

Over the past few years, I've been working on mapping projects of various different type, formats and scales, from small paper origamis to 160m buildings with multiprojection.

Basically the constraints of production are huge, and sometimes the technical aspect can take over the creative process.
Project after project, I realised that developing a custom software dedicated to projection mapping could ease the production process a lot, and help to avoid these heavy constraints.

We've developed tools in AS3/Flash, Processing and openframeworks, but today vvvv seems to be the perfect plateform to release this collection of patches, and get the help of the community to debug, enhance and share this tool.

mapping toolkit

The mapping Toolkit is an extended collection of vvvv patches, that will be released one by one, to ease the development process.

The functions available in the pre-alpha release are super basic, but the structure of the toolkit has been designed for precise mapping, and further layers of complexity and control will be added over the next few weeks and months, before the beta release on the "contributions" page.

  • quad distortion with mouse and keyboard.
  • zoom and preview on a pixel level.
  • control every pixel of your video output.

  • basic GUI
