@oschatz: Do you think it would be possible to implement effects like the 3DSMax video post lensflares in a realtime shader?

XNDR, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

hi, newbie question. i can't reproduce in filestream video archives written with vvvv, but those with logitech cam yes. what can i do?

edu, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

mmh lenseflares.. but seriously: with the advent of high dynamic range textures (think floating point rgb channels) the flares actually start to make sense - and are more beautiful than in the 90ies

oschatz, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

Ah yeah, pagecurl kicked ass! I think lensflare is the last one missing from the list. This should keep mtallen busy for some time now.. No seriously, keep up the good work!

XNDR, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

page curl :)

oschatz, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

Don't forget to include the amazing bevel and emboss effects, which you saw on every website a couple of years ago!

XNDR, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

wo wir grad beim thema sind: http://www.bodenstandig.de/bauernregeln/bauernregeln.htm

elektromeier, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

@max, exactly! if i had some dropshadow shaders, everything would become dropshadowed, and glowing an with fancy colorgradients ;)

elektromeier, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

yes layereffects from photoshop... and some filters maybe... ^^

bigbabou, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

dropshadow disease = Atom Heart = classic electro gig!?

max, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

Time for some spam protection? :/

ErnstHot, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

i would like to have the photoshop layer effects, like dropshadow, contours, glows, fill with gradients etc... its a drop shadow disease...

elektromeier, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

edu, you have to fade the alpha channel of the geometry (the quad for example) not the layer. check out the "set alpha (color)"-node

elektromeier, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

hi, ins there an easy way to fade in-out ex9 layers?

edu, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

@sanch...this is dome projections, i'm working on this but split into 6 seperate projections. cool that more ppl are into it. will update the dome thread next week with progress and problems

u7angel, Wednesday, Feb 22nd 2006

yeah and you can use it as a fish eye

sanch, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

@sanch: Ahh I see is it a dome projection system? Like a skybox/Sphere in a game. I will do some research.

mtallen, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

@sanch: Is it just a polar coordinates? Or is it something more complex that my brain doesnt get? Not that changing cordinate systems isnt complex :)

mtallen, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

@mtallen:that´s will be very interesting if you can do this effect as a vertex shader : http://www.lochness.com/imagelib/cat_o/o4__.jpg

sanch, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

he cat, yeah amazing...sanchette, new shader and we have some pipet freeframe thing in the pipeline, i just love this community ;)

u7angel, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

Thanks folks. I am currently working on a "levels" type of shader. If you want something specific (and it fits with what I am doing) feel free to ask here or post in the shader forums (Or just send me a mail). shader

mtallen, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

Wow lots of activity! u7angel, another cool video!

catweasel, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

yeah thanksalot mtallen! can make wishes what photoshopfeature we want too? ;)

elektromeier, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

awesome shader ! thanx mtallen

u7angel, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

Yup cool shaders!

catweasel, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

@mtallen; respect! thanks for the photoshop shaders..

oschatz, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

@newk: apply for an internship. but honestly i dont see any reason to include OpenGl when DX can do almost anything equally well - the hardware is the same anyway..

oschatz, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

is/will there be OpenGL rendering in vvvv?

newk, Tuesday, Feb 21st 2006

must be something dumb on my end! Thanks.

mtallen, Sunday, Feb 19th 2006

irc.belwue.de works fine ...

tonfilm, Sunday, Feb 19th 2006

mtallen, Sunday, Feb 19th 2006

zepi, Sunday, Feb 19th 2006

zepi, Sunday, Feb 19th 2006

zepi, Sunday, Feb 19th 2006

ErnstHot, Saturday, Feb 18th 2006

u7angel, Saturday, Feb 18th 2006

zepi, Tuesday, Feb 14th 2006

zepi, Tuesday, Feb 14th 2006

zepi, Tuesday, Feb 14th 2006

yeah i have to make it again and change the music , so that´s will be shorter

sanch, Tuesday, Feb 14th 2006

@sanch, have to agree...its too long and some tension built up is missing, some climax...go for 1 min reel

u7angel, Tuesday, Feb 14th 2006

morpho say that is to long but , you can have a look : http://www.sanchtv.net/video/sanchtv-demo-divx.avi
