ive got skype skypename: elektromeier

elektromeier, Wednesday, May 17th 2006

have you msn or skype

sanch, Wednesday, May 17th 2006

hm then i take a look on your version with dynamic mesh. so you think its hard to make a spreadable version? im not that experienced with dynamic mesh. and what about the performace with lots of letters?

elektromeier, Wednesday, May 17th 2006

if you align the font on the left , i think the spacing work ...

sanch, Wednesday, May 17th 2006

, its spreadable but i never managed a correct spacing between the letters, maybe its because tehres no kerning in that .ini file that metrics file from bitmapfont builder.

elektromeier, Wednesday, May 17th 2006

yeah its cool! i played around with a similar, simpler patch just with quads istead of a dynamic mesh

elektromeier, Wednesday, May 17th 2006

it´s not perfect but , better than nothing

sanch, Wednesday, May 17th 2006

and you can use this program http://www.lmnopc.com/bitmapfontbuilder/ to generate the font map and the metric file

sanch, Wednesday, May 17th 2006

@sanch: now a good dx9 textmodule is missing. there where some aproaches, especially with texturemaps which contains the whole alphabet. it works fine with proportional fonts but with other the spaces between the letters dont look good...

elektromeier, Wednesday, May 17th 2006

I have been using vvvv so much that I keep trying to scroll my browser page by rightclicking on the background. That's sad.

panopticon, Wednesday, May 17th 2006

but it´s basically possible with the "set" input, if you just increment the xy output from the module with the data from the relative encoder

sanch, Tuesday, May 16th 2006

mhh but they work just with relative devices like rotary encoders etc..

elektromeier, Tuesday, May 16th 2006

@ele: relative change are a good idee ...

sanch, Tuesday, May 16th 2006

@ampop: did you put your colortracker/pipet examples somewhere online? i'd like to show them here in senones..

oschatz, Tuesday, May 16th 2006

wikiquestion: is there a way to add coments on user/modulepages ? i mean a tag to mark them clearly as comments without distracting the rest of the page?

elektromeier, Tuesday, May 16th 2006

i only have one suggestion: when setting a slider/button from the outside (for example by midicontroller) it cant be controlled by the mouse anymore and versa. maybe this could be solved by just adding up relative changes...

elektromeier, Tuesday, May 16th 2006

sanch, your guimodule is really very very well done... im still studying it.

elektromeier, Tuesday, May 16th 2006

I posted my vjing patch setup to rocknroll, gimme some feedback, oh vvvv gurus.

panopticon, Tuesday, May 16th 2006

@fleg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waveform_monitor

oschatz, Monday, May 15th 2006

@ampop: just try a texture queue count higher than two and play around with getslice (node) also try to transform the texturecoordinates...

elektromeier, Monday, May 15th 2006

how to misuse gregsn's wave patch in such a nice manner?

ampop, Monday, May 15th 2006

saludos desde mexico

miguel&monroy, Monday, May 15th 2006

elektromeier, Thursday, May 11th 2006

works fine and simple. could be a nice tool for upcoming intstallations!

ampop, Tuesday, May 9th 2006

@oschatz: senones next week?

markus4, Tuesday, May 9th 2006

2071 makes me feel better about my patches

panopticon, Tuesday, May 9th 2006

@2071: why not use Switch (Node Input) to switch whole transforms? or IOBox (node) to create transform output pins? but excellent graphics, reminds me of patching MAX....

oschatz, Monday, May 8th 2006

screenhoot are from user morphopeleides

sanch, Monday, May 8th 2006

@sohya: no problems - great site.... @oschatz: thanks a lot!

rand526, Monday, May 8th 2006

@sohya & rand: anyway - great works! so sorry i can read japanese

oschatz, Monday, May 8th 2006

@rand526sorry. It jumped to a conclusion. I was misunderstanding it with all works made from vvvv. The explanation is added. Thank you.

sohya, Monday, May 8th 2006

who's doing those morpho screenshots? Those are really tasty.

panopticon, Sunday, May 7th 2006

@sohya, i notice there are a few of my stills on yr site. this is not a problem - but many of them arent done with vvvv :) - i cant read whether there supposed to be or not...

rand526, Sunday, May 7th 2006

wow oschatz, It is my site. I make an interactive work by using VVVV in Japan. Moreover, it introduces the work made with vvvv, and the manual is translated into Japanese.

sohya, Sunday, May 7th 2006

http://d.hatena.ne.jp/voicedotzero/

oschatz, Sunday, May 7th 2006

@cat: Neat! If I convince my boss to buy some of these, will you share your patch? ;>

panopticon, Saturday, May 6th 2006

oops my mistake, versa tubes, http://www.elementlabs.com/ Chromas have been on every job since, hence in my mind! They're driven by video->a pixel mapping box

catweasel, Friday, May 5th 2006

I am pretty sure that "chroma strip" is a product of Pulsar Lighting: see http://www.pulsarlight.com/ChromaStrip2.htm

kalle, Friday, May 5th 2006

can you explain what you mean by "chroma strips"? I can think of like 3 things that could actually mean ;>

panopticon, Friday, May 5th 2006

It was running realtime, driving chroma strips, had a few bugs, I tink they've all been swatted now....

catweasel, Friday, May 5th 2006

@catweasel: are you running a patch realtime on those shows or is it pre-production?

panopticon, Friday, May 5th 2006

http://www.pro-music-news.com/html/studio/e51213co.htm The monitor at the back slightly obsured is running my vvvv patch!

catweasel, Thursday, May 4th 2006

@dequid: page is now obsolete and will be removed.

ampop, Thursday, May 4th 2006

hehe, http://www.midigun.com/

kalle, Thursday, May 4th 2006

@ampop: download links on http://vvvv.meso.net/tiki-index.php?page=Networks+Project+Bozen are not working :(

dequid, Thursday, May 4th 2006

these scribbles will result into a research paper (of course in english) till then only for internal use. sorry. forgot to set perms correctly. david

david, Thursday, May 4th 2006

Any change there will be an english version for " web-application development" looks interesting...

Westbam, Wednesday, May 3rd 2006

jannis, Wednesday, May 3rd 2006

:)

oschatz, Wednesday, May 3rd 2006

hey, thanks whichever mod fixed my link screwup over here ;>

panopticon, Wednesday, May 3rd 2006

@oschatz cheers for the info

u7angel, Tuesday, May 2nd 2006

just multiply your color in the shader with the matrix. and you have all kinds of control about the colors of your shader.

oschatz, Tuesday, May 2nd 2006

@u7angel & sanch: Re: Luminance Matrix. It is for creating matrices to do color transformatioms in a shader. See http://www.engr.udayton.edu/faculty/jloomis/ece563/notes/enhancement/Grafica3/default.htm

oschatz, Tuesday, May 2nd 2006

i just tried the AVIVO powered video out of my new atix1600 and this looks brilliant. no need for expensive scanconverters. interesting for everyone who wants to record video from v4 output

u7angel, Monday, May 1st 2006

@pan, this is definetely fun :)

u7angel, Monday, May 1st 2006

This is potentially fun: http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2006/04/logitech_quickcam_orbit_mp_1.html?CMP=OTC-0D6B48984890| WebCam with reality augmentation in the software

panopticon, Monday, May 1st 2006

if i remenber, the luminance matrix node show only the pixel totaly align with the monitor pixel .

sanch, Monday, May 1st 2006

mmm...ok but that doesnt really help how to use it :)

u7angel, Monday, May 1st 2006

what is luminance matrix for ? no help file or documentation...

u7angel, Saturday, Apr 29th 2006

i will do a post.

moustikopat, Thursday, Apr 27th 2006

you mean the renderer has < 50fps? then it is obvious. fluid video needs exactly 50fps in the renderer.

joreg, Thursday, Apr 27th 2006

@joreg. ok. i ask because i have a pb with holo3d card. when the renderer go down 50 fps my video is not fluid. what do you thinks about this ?

moustikopat, Thursday, Apr 27th 2006

ja. cheater is only useful to use videotextures deinterlacing functionality with videoinput drivers that don't support videoinfoheader2 format

joreg, Thursday, Apr 27th 2006

hi all. more precison about Cheater node. It adds only metadata ?

moustikopat, Thursday, Apr 27th 2006

@hype, i uploaded the first How to: Body Projections into the forum...(tracking silouhettes) more soon...

jannis, Thursday, Apr 27th 2006

hi panopticon....thanks for your love...it's always appreciated !! glad you like it...i'm preparing a "how to bodyvvvvisuals" right now. i will post a "how to spherearize" on the weekend...greetings jannis

jannis, Thursday, Apr 27th 2006

@jannis, that looks awesome. I esp. love the spherical cityscape, I gotta try to do that.

panopticon, Wednesday, Apr 26th 2006

Woo! I posted my first patch! I'm not just a leech anymore ;> Anyone telling me if I screwed anything up would be awesome.

yes thats a real simple texturefeedback like in matroska or snow. the trick is to use the right blendmodes, texturetiling and a texture queue. i post it mabe tomorrow on my userpage.

elektromeier, Tuesday, Apr 25th 2006

elektromeier: those Ornaments pics look very interesting! Any chance of some info or the patch?

ErnstHot, Tuesday, Apr 25th 2006

mhh it seems not to run on all handys, because the java implemenation on most handy doesnt allow access to the bluetooth port...

elektromeier, Tuesday, Apr 25th 2006

sounds very interesting @ elektromeier. please keep me well informed.
