Weird new behavior

what i do, is open patch without opening 4v and it seems new 28.1 behavior
all modules and shaders are red
then i open 4v first, everything fine

2-d weird behavior i’m having, after some time plugs don’t work anymore,
like i try to add whatever plug from addonpack and it redhttps://vvvv.org/sites/default/files/imagecache/large/images/HorizLayout%20%28EX9.Geometry%29_2012.09.15-19.09.57.png
this is the ctrl-c ctrl-v result

do the red nodes involve woei’s spread advanced nodes? if yes, this might just be a version hick up because they where renamed…

happens constantly, i’ll try to rec next time but it’s not only a nodes inspektor don’t work also, you change option they do not update, but you save patch, and when you open it the changes are update…

well seems we’re dealing with different issues here.

  1. slice count zero when opening patch… can you reduce your patch to a minimum where this error still exists and post it here?

  2. some vlc exception: maybe a follow up of 1) one?

  3. your screenshot is from the same project? again, was it a follow up from 1) or did you start vvvv and then open the patch? the screenshot looks to me like memory gets corrupt. i ask because vlc node still has memory issues, so it could also be related to 1) and 2). if not and those issues are not in the beta28.1 then i’ll need to have a closer look at some recent commits we made…

ad 1) this one seems to come up every couple of months. not the first time we heared of it. so getting a patch which reproduces this (no exception when vvvv -> open, exception when opening via explorer) would be super nice! :)

oh and you can send the patch to elias at vvvv.org if you don’t want to “publish” it here for some reason.

gonna try TTY first

tty spams with this

ok removed videoin node seems it helped

00:00:55 : Removing node: Video Mixing Renderer 9 from filtergraph

ok that was coming from disabled videoin node
will see if patch will die again

Second problem went off
But still can’t start patch

ok got red node:

Actually second problem still persist, remove nodelist?

it’s woei nodes who go red all the time anything i can solve this?

use the alpha… they’re already fixed

a patch would really help. not possible?

yea you just need a beta also, i’ll do the link before the plane flying out 10 in the morning so bit in hurry

ok, pls have a look at upcoming alpha build.
whether i open your patch via double click or ctrl + o, i get the same behaviour now. it opens up with two exceptions from some todo node and afterwards seems to run fine.

ok tested on new alpha runs from doubble click
still crash message on exit and now it throws tons of exceptions on start
