Evvvvangelism

You don t need to master an application to teach others the basics.

It s not secret I am no master of vvvv or hlsl language but teaching others the basic notions of what vvvv is and what it does/can do it s just a matter of gathering a bunch of people together in a comfortable environment, and shoot some nodes around.
In the last 12 months I gave 4 vvvv workshops (plus one given by Lasal) in such a small place like the island of Tenerife (1 million inhabitants) and I am always surprised to see new people coming with real interest.

Usually we offer free to 10 euros/participant (the 10 euros we had to introduce to avoid people subscribing then not attending) workshops with a mix of vvvv, vdmx, Kinect/Openframework, Imagemodeler, so those who come may have a wider overview on the subject of visual arts.

Usually the workshop is 2 to 3 hours long so it is just an introduction to the very basics but I can see real interest and people willing to do their home works.
Of course a big portion of the attendants is scared away by the lack of classic GUI but the rest is ready to pay the tradeoff for the absolute freedom of creation that the empty vvvv canvas offers at start-up.

That is … tx to the developers and to everybody who has contributed to the community.
