Projecting on windows

this question has nothing to do with vvvv :)

does anyone has an idea of a cheap solution to treat the windows when video mapping ?

Because buying some filters to put on the windows will cost a fortune… and projecting on them is not creating the best reflectivity.

so any solutions /

thanks

rideaux de douche ( bath curtains) are usually interresting, cheap. you can use some water and some soap to put them from outside if inside is not possible and you are cutting at glass size

Water based white paint, cheap and easy to apply.

how do i take it off ?

lee or rosco full white diffusion gel? or any other frost? or just some synthetic silk?

You can scrap it off with a piece of metal or similar and then finish with some water and a sponge.

ah no i dont want to ruin the windows man…

buttermilk. sounds smelly but works

hahaha lovely :-)

no solution yet ;-)

I have no idea how well this would work (or if it would work at all), but if you try it please let us know.

what about that white stuff they wipe on windows when a shop is being refurnished? that cleans of easy

hihi & don’t forget to accidentally leave sign “CLOSED”
hmm got old kefir everywhere were chipest way i know

i tried out buttermilk, works good, but is a lot of cleaning and it will smell a bit
good solution also (Sandwich paper) Butterbrotpapier
or u go to the gartencenter and ask for kind of nesselstoff (Nettle Fabric), they put in to the stawberry fields …works also good and is cheap as well

good luck

cyper

Now i remember that once i used oven paper, works good

I use reclycled paper… works good enough…

what size? I’d try with (german: geschenk/packpapier) packing/gift wrapping paper. often the backside is white - and a roll (1x10m) costs about 5Eur. a lot cheaper than rosco/lee-foils.

hi i,ve used some times for covering glass in multitouch [papel vegetal](papel vegetal) translator told me the woord in english is : greaseproof paper , but does not sound like , it is the paper you may use to paint for sketching or the ones architects use , you can find it in most of office shops and it is cheap ,

tracing paper might be a solution

there is the basci white painting used for windows on shop while rebuilding, that doesn t cost a lot. But you need to apply it from inside
