Animating Columns and Rows Values in IO Box Color

Hi VVVVers,

I am new to VVVV but love playing with it already. This is a great community with a lot of documentation (1 reason why I´ve gotten into VVVV). The videos are really helpfull and the wikis rock.

This is a noob question. I made this patch and noticed that when I´m in the Inspektor for the IO Box Color, if I change the values in the Columns and Rows parameters I get different things happening in my “videowall” of 15 x 5 “screens”.

So my question is: Is there a way to, for example, plug an LFO into the Columns value or the Rows value? In other words how to I get my IO Box Color to show input pins for those two configuration pins (Columns & Rows).

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the help. Keep on making great things.

Cheers

Leo

well first of all you have to use same binsizes to have say if you have 5 screens with 15 boxes on each and you have 3 boxes width and 5 high on each, so with 5 screens you need 75 colors to make each box show them. Or you will get repeated pattern.
and about rows and columns, you cannot have this values out, but you can do setslice and spread indices say if you want acess the 2-d row you need setslice indecies 3,4,5. that’s because rows and columns made just for easier perception, actually you are working with 1dimensional spread of values
