Is there a way to write plugins for vvvv? I’m a music notation specialist, and would like to write some specialised nodes for connecting vvvv to that world. I’m using C# in Visual Studio Express Edition.

not in a generic sense. there is the possibility of writing dlls according to the freeframe specification, but freeframe might be too limited for your application.
