Depending on WHICH output you mean, you might want to refer to any of the Writer () nodes…

Trying to save the output from my renderer as an AVI file that I can play back.

mh the quickest way is with a directx grabber.
try fraps its amazingly fast: www.fraps.com

i tried to compile our knowledge on this topic in the last faq on FAQ Rendering: “How to capture the output of a Renderer?”.

Just an hint (ridiculous) but cheated me. You need divx codec in order to read the avi output of fraps. I’m using vlc and didn’t had any codec on my pc so it didn’t worked. Installed lastest version of divx pro fix it.
