Windows 2000 sp4

Hi,

i am new to vvvv and want to do a 4screen installation with synchronized movie playback. I used to use synchronized dvd-players, but they are not available, so i have to deal with 4 pcs with ethernet connection and still windows 2000 sp4. i have only 5 hours to prepare the computers right before the installation starts, so i want to go sure:
is it possible to install the newest vvvv-beta and directx9c on windows 2000 with sp4?
should i use osc for the network? (i just want to use ethernet-cables with one switch/hub)

i have 16 8minutes video clips in pal(fotojpeg), so i just want to send all 8 minutes a play message to each computer playing 4 movies, first the first 4, then the next four…

all in a loop (4x8minutes for 10 times).

and what is the best codec for pal in vvvv?

Thank you very much

stefan

no idea.

ethernet, yes. maybe you want to use Boygrouping. OSC is cool, too.

have a look at tonfilm’s VideoSync module?

i’d suggest using a motion jpeg codec (i.e. picvideo) or MPEG-2 streams.
