Writer (Avi) Playback

Im capturing a live S-Video input to vvvv and writing the file as an avi, using DX9(Texture)–>Writer(Avi). Im having an issue that after play back the avi it is always a little faster then the origonal input video. Even varying the parameters of the main loop doesnt give me a perfect 1 to 1 capture, using the incremented count option gives a slower output capture.
Id rally like to capture these particular clips with vvvv without having to use an external capture option, anyone have any ideas?

Its dropping frames while compressing, you could try a different codec see if its faster?

Ah Yes, Writer (DShow9) does the trick! Found an odd thing that the file output this way does not display the colors correctly using VLC player but is fine with everything else! Thanks for the pointer Cat :-)

i have the same problem, that avi that you have, you can use it in vlc, but i wast able to open the file on any other software

i solve it with Writer(ex9.texture NTR).v4p with png
use a “mainloop” with the acuarate frame rate of your video
