FileTexture can't be maaped at a Quad under WIndows XP SP3 running at Mac via VMware

Hello Guys,

I´m running vvvv at my new MacBookPro via VMware and Windows XP with SP 3 and all Add-Ons installed. It´s just a simple function. The FileTexture doesn´t work. If I connect FileTexture to a Quad and take a jpg from my Hard Disk, everything is just black. If I unconnect FileTexture I can see a white Quad again.

What´s wrong?

Problem solved! vvvv is really only running properly under Boot Camp at Mac. I discovered several problems which are more or less a failure of VMWare.

use a different color at the filetexture. but anyway it’s running rather slow under vmware :( …in my dreams vvvv works under osx ;)

vvvv needs directx; which is not included in vmware.
dreams come closer though: does anyone have access to the new vmware beta?

(the renderer is producing correct images. just the screenshot didn’t get caught right)

not true. vmware fusion comes with directx9 support for almost a year now (since v2). see screenshot above.

the only problem is (as mentioned above), that no filetextures and no xfiles are loaded. dynamic and dx9 textures are working. anyone knows what the problem could be? m9dfukc, didn’t understand that ‘use different color’ hint.
