Finder back to mainscreen?

somehow i managed to move the finder to the secondary (fullscreen) display.
how do i get it back ?

probably easiest is to just delete the Finder (VVVV) (which would be in the root if you haven’t put it somewhere else) and then open a new one with CTRL+F?!

If joreg’s method doesn’t work, well, this may help: create a number of new nodes with Template nodes on the first screen - it really does not matter what they do, it is important that they are saved, but not in the related contribution\packs folders.
Then, without restarting vvvv you look for them in the finder. At this point, the finder should start wondering where are these node, and eventually starts to wander from the second to the first screen to look for them.
When it’s in the first screen and only when it’s there, you left-click on it and, while keeping it pressed:

  • you shake it very well for a long time - only be careful to do this only on first screen: if mistakenly you leave the mouse button it can go back, and you may never see it again
  • scold it extensively: swearing may work better - it could help to increase the chances it learns how to behave
  • eradicate the cable of the second screen: hopefully windows should recognise there’s no longer any second monitor and will close the gates to it
    Just be sure:
  • that no one sees\hears you doing this all
  • to not use a vvvversion with the new VPM - rumors are, Finder it’s not so “happy” to have it around.

I usually use the help patch of Window (Windows) to move a vvvv window. Just make a window node, highlight it and press F1. It should be relatively easy to figure out how to use it.
