Cross2D - how to get slices of different "rows"?

hi guys,

i have a dynamic matrix made of quads,
and want to color different rows.

can’t get my head around how to access the right slices of the spread.
so that it will work with changing spreadcounts.
maybe someone would like to help?

Do you want to have odd rows of color a and even rows of color b?
