in live performance situations, it would be convenient to be able to cancel mouse actions in the ui (toggled ioboxes, dragged pins) while mouse is still pressed.
example: vjing over a djset, waiting for a specific sound cue (like for the beats come in), the tendency is to press the toggle and wait for the sound cue to release the mouse. however sometimes the cue never comes and i am stuck with my toggle already pressed, wishing i had never pressed it. Using Esc in that scenario would come in very handy.
try a leftclick while still holding the rightclick…
