Removing white from images

Hello again.

Sorry for the influx of questions. Can anyone tell me how I can go about removing white from an image please?

I’ve a filetexture going into a quad, and I need to get rid of the white background but leave the image in tact. I’m basically trying to substitute Photoshop for Vvvv and I’m sure it’s possible. I’ve just no idea how.

(I finally have a project to learn with)

I found the Histogram node which looks like it will be handy, but no idea how to use it :s

Any advice?

Try a blend mode.

Ahh wonderful, thank you so much; I think I have it to a degree.

I’ve got:

FileTexture > HSCB > Blend > Quad
FileTexture > HSCB /

This is doing what I want, but I can only get it to come out onto 1 quad.
I’d really like to be able to effect both layers on an individual quad or with a transform each, but once again I can’t figure out how to do this.

Just post an little example and we will try to patch a solution.
