Triple head setup questions

Hi there,

i will be playing a gig with a triple head set in a few days. I do not have the equivalent hardware to test before hand at home.

I understand that i just span the vvvv renderer across the 3 screens using something like 3 x 1024 x 768.

I want to know if there is a way of testing the way my patches will look without having the triple set up? As i will need to convert all existing 1024x768 patches.

I notice if a simulate wide screen on the windowed mode, it just stretches the content in the renderer window. I assume this will happen in the triple head resolution, which i dont want to happen. ie a circle becomes an oval.

How do you produce a 3 x 1024 x 768 resolution patch on a single screen monitor, possible or not?

thnx

You need to use an aspect ratio node attached to your renderer to set the ratio to 12:3 (or 4:1) and then size your renderer appropriately

great, thnx cat.

I assume i also need to set the backbuffer width and height to 3072 x 768 respectively as i can cannot set the fullsize screen to these dimensions. Is there anything else i need to look out for?

appreciated.
