Midi help

Hi this more of a quick question about windows....it took me about a day to get my new nano kontroller to work with vvvv....I am only using windows because of vvvv....on mac I used to use audiomulch or live with vdmx. I could use the same controller for two applications at the same time. Mac allows you to do this. When I try to do this in v4 and live whatever application opens first is the only one I can assign the controller too. I do a lot of midi linking in my live music set. How can I assign the same knob to v4 and live at the same time??? Is there a workaround and am I correct in saying its a windows problem. Also I have tested the controller in both and it works in both, just not at the same time. Thank you for your time. It is much appreciated.

yes, its a windows driver thing. i used midiox with midiyoke for that. midi ox has a patching like midi router. so you can open the controller as input of midiox and route the output to multiple midiyokes and use them as inputs to the software.

but its maybe more elegant to use the controller as control surface of ableton and send the a surface feedback to a midiyoke which vvvv receives. so the changes you do in ableton will also be sent to vvvv.

Specifically for the nanokontrol, you need g´korgs midi driver to get it working with more than one programme at the same time.

Get the USB midi driver here: http://www.korg.com/nanoseries
