My Trips

MusicPlease

This patch uses a webcam and the GUI2D plugin.

Choose a file in the FileStream node, watch you in the Renderer and push the buttons. It' a sort of "touch-air".

EisensteinPrimes

Ferdinand Eisenstein (1823-52) was a really great mathematician. Gauss is said to have claimed, "There have been only three epoch-making mathematicians: Archimedes, Newton, and Eisenstein".

Here there are Eisenstein's integers, with prime numbers yellow painted. It is an aperiodic plane tesselation: it means that if you are walking in that land you will never find repetitions in the pattern.

PolyLine

With this module you can edit a PolyLine (my soporific Analysis teacher used to call it a spezzata) which is just a segmented line.
This is a very useful module for mapping, when the Polyline is made of 4 points as you can see in the help patch. Hope it can be included in the next addonpack!

Octonions

vvvv, we need octonions :P

This plugin implements octonion multiplication. Octonions are a gold mine of geometry! Starting from Real numbers ( you know 0 , 1 , -0.5 , sqrt(2) , e , PI , etc. ) italian matematicians - Cardano and Bombelli - invented Imaginary numbers as a way to cheat and solve equations of 3rd degree. Then the great Gauss realized that you can see Real and Imaginary numbers as the x and y coordinates of a plane, i.e Complex numbers ... to be continued ( i'm going to eat :)http://vvvv.org/tiki-download_file.php?fileId=2031Multiply.zip (6.17 Kb)
