gregsn Modules

this page holds modules and stuff which still didn't make it into a release.

in next version all modules will be shipped (modules folder) and the demo patches will be included in the "girlpower" folder.

MeshEditor Sample

comes with modules:

-PointEditor (DX9).v4p

to edit points in 3D
sorrily not very readable

-PickPoints (3D Vector).v4p

to pick points in 3D

-TagPoints (3D Vector).v4p

to mark points in 3D

-Cursor (DX9).v4p

a simple cross cursor with selection rectangle

-GetSlice (3D Vector).v4p, SetSlice (3D Vector).v4p

to get / set 3 slices at once

B-Spline 3D

comes with modules:

-B-Spline (3D).v4p

get points on a 3D B-Spline

-DeformByCurve (3D B-Spline).v4p

deform a geometry by a 3D B-Spline Curve

IMPORTANT:
note that the diamonds patch needs the "PointEditor (DX9).v4p" module contained in the MeshEditor Sample. (however this one is included in beta9)

SLIDE PROJECTOR

comes with modules and one effect:

-PerspectiveLookAtRect (Transform).v4p

  • transform a quad as you like by translating, rotating, scaling it.
  • define a point of view from where you look at this quad.

you will get a transformation which always keeps this quad in view.

-RendererCoordsToTexCoords (Transform).v4p

match renderer coordinates (-1..1) with directx texture coordinates (0..1)

-ProjectedTexture.fx

to project a texture onto a mesh.

IMPORTANT:

note that you need

  • the "B-Spline (3D).v4p" module,
  • a PixelShader 2.0 graphics cards.

SHADOW

comes with modules and one effect:

-GouraudProjectedTexture.fx

to project a texture onto a mesh. the texture is multiplied onto a gouraud shading. useful for projecting (..) shadows. this one works also in fixed function mode.

  • RendererCoordsToTexCoords (Transform).v4p

SOFT SHADOW

-GouraudSoftShadow.fx

project a soft shadow onto a gouraud shaded mesh.

  • PerspectiveLookAtRect (Transform).v4p
  • RendererCoordsToTexCoords (Transform).v4p
