DMX (Network Artnet Sender)

Help Sends a DMX universe to a remote device

Here you are supposed to see an image (rendered with SVG) describing the pins of this node. However, this does not work with Internet Explorer. You may want to consider using another browser, like FireFox, Chrome, Safari or Opera that do support SVG.

about DMX (Network Artnet Sender)

The node is closely modeled after the Art-Net specification]. Artnet uses UDP broadcasts and uses data fields in the packets to distinguish between the Universes and Subs.

In versions >beta19 the target adress for the Artnet udp broadcast is changeable with a pin. The pin defaults to 255.255.255.255, so for all usual purposes the node works as before, and the address need not be changed.

Changing the destination address should make possible to specify subnet specific broadcast addresses for all you trying to use multiple network adapters to control more than 78 DMX Universes which would saturate a 100MBit Lan. It might also help dealing with configurable switches.

Consider this an experimental feature and post any feedback in this forum.
