This is awesome lasal ! Congrats :)
It looks like Particles GPU Dynamic Field from dottore + Very accurate contour detection !
What do you use ? IR Camera ?

looks so poetic !

Thanks pdubost,
it´s based on a VGA IR camera on 24m2 of tracking surface.
Instead contour i use some shaders in order to build a vector field to control the particles behaviour.

Ah ok I see :)
Do you mean you did some 2D Shader treatment of your input texture (like your input camera feed thresholded and blended with some specific colors to change the Vector Field properties).. and then I guess you use this generated texture as a control texture in the ParticlesGPU ?

I'm currently trying to get such an effect in vvvv (something like a smoky organic reactive aura)
So far I had interesting results with Optical flow + Fluid simulation in Processing: http://youtu.be/uIAyNDXE-Pg

Thanks so much for the info !

yes, this is the way! ;)
good luck with your research.
