Device works fine with my own OpenNI nodes though

the Kinect context node in this pack 'needs' NITE (to output the version number of NITE)

odd. no idea. but you should easily be able to set a breakpoint and check whats the problem there:

  • open the MyPlugins.sln
  • add the addonpack\src\nodes\plugins\Devices\OpenNI\OpenNIKinect.csproj
  • now add that project to the references of the MyPlugins project (thats already inside the solution)
  • set a breakpoint at Kinect.cs line 97
  • run

yep chasing through the code highlighted the NITE necessity
which was fine, as skeleton tracking was what i was chasing anyway
