wow this looks really useful for livepainting + texturefx :)

BK 22/11/2014 - 13:41

very cool, really useful for drawing masks etc.

drehwurm 22/11/2014 - 17:11

Wow!

robotanton 22/11/2014 - 19:28

Soon in alpha builds :)

gegenlicht 22/11/2014 - 19:42

nice! Will this be in "realtime"? Can the vvvv plugin send a texture (in "realtime"?!) to a photoshop layer&file of choice?

Madness!

dl-110 22/11/2014 - 20:41

Is this for real? Realtime? Working both ways?
The possibilities...

robotanton 22/11/2014 - 20:56

@gegenlicht:

Yes, it's almost in realtime. Photoshop says that its document was changed only when the user releases the mouse. So the process of the drawing cannot be captured in realtime, but as soon as the document was changed - the image appears in vvvv.

And yes, vvvv will send textures to Photoshop, whenever you want.

gegenlicht 22/11/2014 - 21:12

@robotanton

wow cant wait to play with this!

microdee 22/11/2014 - 21:54

and now comes the inevitable question: does after effects can do this too?

robotanton 22/11/2014 - 22:12

@microdee:
how cool will it be! But for now only Photoshop has this api. Who knows what Adobe will decide in the future... We are ready.

dl-110 23/11/2014 - 12:11

I wonder... do you actually have access to the single layers or "just" the image as a whole? And great stuff man! Can't wait...

robotanton 23/11/2014 - 16:40

@dl-110:
At the moment (the most simple case) the whole image is sent to vvvv.
Particular layers are on my todo.

Big Thank You goes to Elias (The Master of clean, safe and beautiful code) and of course to Joreg.

robotanton 23/11/2014 - 17:27

This is how the story started.

antokhio 23/11/2014 - 18:09

what about "Smart Objects"?

robotanton 24/11/2014 - 23:53

Smart Objects?
I like them.

vvvv can send its texture to any location inside PSD (incl. groups and smart objects). It takes a second, because at first the texture appears in Photoshop in a separate Document (this is the only option Adobe offers) and then it is copied into any location inside of any document by the script (also coming from vvvv).

The connection is encrypted, so it was Tebjan who knew about the PKCS7 and the likes.

Erandu 15/12/2014 - 10:09

This is absolutely awesome! Cannot wait to use this feature; thanks for working on that!
