When Mon, Dec 14th 2020 - 21:00 until Mon, Dec 14th 2020 - 22:00
Where Online, hosted by the NODE Institute, Germany

Hello vvvvorld!

We (Natan Sinigaglia / dottore | Kyle McLean / everyoneishappy) would like to give you a heads up on a project we are undertaking in these times that we would hope should be of some inspiration and enthusiasm for the beloved VVVV community!

The FUSE project will provide a well researched collection of GPU tools and libraries to use with VL.Stride :

  • Domain specific high level node collections
 ○ Distance Fields & Raymarching
 ○ Particles
 ○ Procedural Geometry
 ○ Textures and Materials
 ○ GPGPU
  • A domain agnostic set of nodes and helpers for patching GPU logic
  • A clean collection of abstract shader functions that can be easily referenced for coders

Intended to benefit the community and wider ecosystem :

  • Free and opensource
  • Well documented
  • Produced in collaboration with the VVVV group to iterate and improve on the core shader based workflows and approaches of VL.Stride.

We are presenting this project in greater detail on 14th Dec 2020 at 21:00 CET to studios and individuals who are interested in the graphical future of vvvv gamma.

Project Info: vvvv.org/fuse-project

The event is kindly hosted by the NODE Institute.https://thenodeinstitute.org/event/the-fuse-project/

Best regards,
Natan & Kyle

See also the public announcement

Within the next month, we will be developing the professional program together with you. As usual, we will focus on vvvv, but also invite other communities to plugin to the program to foster exchange and skills and support social and technical integrations from community to community and software to software. As soon as we have some open doors you will be informed..

Lets bring it to life again and create a festival from which we as a community as well as new users and curious minds can expect the finest and most relevant workshops and masterclasses to learn about creative patching techniques from experts and new talents from the international digital art and design scene.

Together with Mousonturm and other international partners, we are also developing the discursive and cultural program for you. We will soon release our next leitmotif that shall be reflected within the community program, exhibition, lectures, talks and labs – so stay tuned for the open call to contribute with your ideas and projects!

A word on whats beendiscussed at last link. There has been the idea to run a community summit separetly from the node festival. This is indeed something that has been discussed intensly with many people and relevant partners. For now we decided to keep things together and let NODE Forum for Digital Arts be our community gathering as it always was. With all the topics and discussion we need.

What should I do next?

You may starting to collect topics and workshops here on vvvv.org and contact us for urgent requests.
You may start making travel arrangements as the date is fixed. It makes sense to think of Thursday 1st or Friday 2nd as the arrival date and to plan your trip back home on October 9th earliest so we can have a final party on the 8th. We will be releasing the tickets soon.

When Thu, Apr 3rd 2014 until Sat, Apr 5th 2014

This years edition of the resonate festival features quite some vvvv. Or at least the program features the usual suspects which makes us believe there should be some.. What i didn't find yet though is a schedule with times and places for all the events. But probably they'll have that on spot.

Attention patchers! Save the date!

We're planning to spend some good times.
Save the date for LINK, the very first VVVV summer camp.

The summer camp will take place from August 8th to August 12th this year at a wonderful and peaceful sight near Berlin. The camp will be a short vacation from your everyday life, a time for ideas and projects you never found the time for.

You are willing to bring your ideas and developments and this communtiy further? Then this is the place for you!

Nota bene: There will be only a super limited amount of seats available. The summercamp is not like an academy or workshop. You are not coming to learn. Here you are coming to share and spend quality time together while bringing forward your developments and ideas for future developments.

Expect 5 fantastic days at the lake with tents, barbecue, wine and overheating notebooks.

So save that date now.
Details on everything and how to apply for it will follow soon here.

happy eastern

When Wed, Aug 14th 2019 - 10:00 until Sun, Aug 18th 2019 - 10:00
Where Lodge Sisoretne, Dolne Oresany, Slovakia

Hi everybody!
Since I missed meeting the best community this summer, I decided to organize Link summer camp in Slovakia!

Application form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1msDePnoVfAl9gCTMcZvBLj60c57-vGEv-Va9npP4pb0/

I found great place for the camp, 1 hour of public transport from Bratislava.
https://www.facebook.com/sisoretne/

The summercamp is not like an academy or workshop. You are not coming to learn. Here you are coming to share and spend quality time together while bringing forward your developments and ideas for future developments.
Wednesday is arrival day, and Thursday morning we are starting to work on our projects, so you need to be ready by then!
Capacity for guests is 25 people, so some of you unfortunately might not get in.

There will be DIY breakfast table ready for you every day, lunch and dinner cooked so you can patch away.

There will be also night program involving projectors and speakers! You will have opportunity to show off your live patching skills.

Also if you cannot attend for the whole time, join us on the public Saturday.

In a nutshell:

40km from Bratislava
180€ with all food and drinks inclusive
Everybody gets a bed!

Application form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1msDePnoVfAl9gCTMcZvBLj60c57-vGEv-Va9npP4pb0/
