SonicViz is researching and developing unique realtime audiovisual instruments, using a variety of technologies and interfaces. Recently relocated to Tokyo. Two shots of a recent short performance piece called Kokoro (Heart) jamming with V4 controlled by a P5 Gestural controller/biofeedback and realtime audio synthesis driven by heart rate analysis from a biofeedback controller - live at the Pink Cow, Shibuya-Ku, Tokyo.
Thanks to V4 team for a cool tool, Sebastion Gregor for an inspirational wave patch (heavily modified since) and Kelly of Artsybugs (3rd from right in 1st shot) for the gig help.

For this two-day event promoting the new products and business strategies of the Konica-Minolta brand, event organizers VION and their A/V partner SATIS & FY were looking to create a spectacular and very networked interactive lighting system spanning the width of the very large venue. A piece of cake for vvvv.

"nomadix" is a project by students of HyperWerk at the University of Applied Sciences in Basel. It shows how progressive education is becoming a creative reality in the Swiss information society.

The Government of Tunisia, the host country of the second phase of WSIS, has kindly invited Switzerland to present itself as host country of the first phase in a honorary pavilion at the WSIS 2005 in Tunis. Switzerland's contribution to discussion about information society is "nomadix".

The media design for the BASF Hauptversammlung 2004-2006 - the annual stockholders' meeting - was realized by meso using vvvv. Featuring a floating sphere 4 meters big, and a very big center stage projection.

It was the purpose of my thesis to develop a method that allows vvvv to export the generated graphics without any restriction of the image size. When only resolution independent vector objects are used to generate images, there are no quality losses when enlarging. This fact is the key element needed to export very large images with vvvv. Due to hard- and software restrictions it is inevitable to split a file into multiple parts prior to exporting it. How this can be done and the resulting vvvv-patch are discussed in detail.
The used method produces a certain number of images that have to be combined to create one big single image. Another program had to be created to stitch the images together. Despite some extensive research, no suitable tool could be found for this task. A program had to be developed from scratch, it will also be discussed in this thesis. It is able to combine any number of images into one big image.

The Museumsuferfest in Frankfurt, Germany is the city's largest annual festival. Taking place on the bank of the river Main every August in celebration of Goethe's birthday, the MUF attracts a rumored three million visitors over a weekend.

Highlight of the MUF 2005 was the KUNST/RAD, a thematic projection on a 40-meter ferris wheel. vvvv conducted 45000 ANSI Lumens and generated images for a rotating projection screen.
