New to patching in vvvv and VL? Then this is for you!
The vvvv Beginner Classes at The NODE Institute start on October 19th and take you from opening vvvv gamma for the first time to building your own real-time systems in its own visual programming language. Eight sessions of playful patching in Part I, then four sessions of development foundations in Part II. No prior programming experience needed, and early bird registration is open until August 31st.
Sign up here:
- Part I: Playful Patching in vvvv gamma by Rosi Grillmair and Gabriela Gordillo - 8 sessions, from October 19th
- Part II: Foundations of VL Development by Christoph Ignaz Kirmaier - 4 sessions, from January 11th
All sessions take place on Mondays, 18:00 to 21:00 CET, live and online. Every session is recorded, so nothing is lost if you cannot make an evening.
Who is it for?
- Artists who find inspiration in nature, animation and technology
- Technologists searching for a multipurpose toolkit for interactive installations
- Architects and designers who want new ways of visualising their ideas
- Developers who are annoyed by coding and want to try visual programming instead
What do I need?
vvvv runs on Windows and macOS (via Parallels), see the Downloads section for your options.
A 3-button mouse and a second monitor are recommended, and a reasonably capable graphics card helps. No prior programming or vvvv experience required, just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
Already know the basics?
Have a look at the vvvv Intermediates Program instead: seven courses on Tuesdays from the end of October until February, on TextureFX, applied math, geospatial particles, projection mapping, app architecture, git workflows and monitoring. Early bird runs until August 31st there as well.
Get your early bird ticket until August 31st!
Part I starts at 322,69 € for students, and the early bird takes 10 to 20% off until August 31st, depending on the ticket tier.
Student, regular and company tiers are available for everything, and each company ticket includes a scholarship for someone who could otherwise not afford the course. After August 31st the regular rates apply, and spots are limited on top of that, so better get your seat now.
