Driving Particle Systems from Geospatial Data in vvvv
October 27, 2026 posted by: The NODE Institute Community
In this session, Rosi Grillmair shows you how to drive a VL.Fuse particle system with real geospatial data. Color maps exported from GIS software become the control signals for emission, size, color and the forces acting on your particles, and every dataset you layer on top grows the piece into a living, generative composition. You leave with your own data-driven particle system, and a working pipeline for any dataset you can turn into a texture.
The session takes place on November 24th (Tuesday), 18:00 to 21:00 CET. It runs live and online, and the recording stays available for at least a year afterwards.
