well, it is that time of year again. happy birthday vvvv. you may not have counted, but she is 5 official years old today. horray. see the Change Log for what she's gone through lately and get her freshest bytes from the Downloads. may she loop on forever and we love you very much.

ah and oh, what is there on the horizon?
the vvvv group humbly presents: TimelinerSA - A Multipurpose Timeline
still very early in beta, it already sends its timed data via UDP\OSC to any software you may missuse. since timelining is a very general task not at all limited to use within vvvv we thought it makes sense to realize a timeline as a separate piece of software. TimelinerSA runs crossplatform and is soon be blessed with an opensource license, therefore being completely free for any kind of use. in a later version Timeliner will also be available as a native node for optimal usage within vvvv. still some debugging needed on this one though. and while the AlphaTesters already identified the most nasty bits (thanks you verymuch) still beware of the very freshness of the code.

lets dance!

merry whatever
and a veryveryveryvery new year,
wishes yours truly,
the vvvv group.

soso, what do we have here..
MySQL database access...ql, and all the rest is basically boring bugfixes again. but be sure to browse through \girlpower which hides some new gems.

we decided to have one more quasi-stable release before all the vvvvacko ahead. still too hot to be served...

make sure to read through the Change Log then get it from the Downloads page and leave us some bugs in the vorums.

bis bald.

with the new release you'll

  • remote control your patches over a webbrowser
  • track every moving object
  • scroll in your patches horizontally
  • won't notice the bug fixes (but they are there!)
  • watch yourself in the mirror for hours
  • mess around with your own enum types

this is to inform you of our latest and greatest.

3 years and still beta?! well yes. this is a serious busyness to do. bear with us, we will get there. here is the short story of what is new for this release:

  • multimonitor support is greatly improved. still not perfect but on its way..
  • deinterlacing via videotexture finally seems to work smoothly with only 2 frames delay from the input.
  • the new ColorTracker is not yet spreadable but still great and only part of what is still to come in that field..
  • with SetPatch (VVVV) we introduce another complete universe. be sure to check its helppatch.

may this help you during the upcomming boring days.
so patch yourself and gut keks.
santa boys.
