Aloha,

not much is happening in the addonpack anymore recently as most contributors decide to release their own packs. So please look over at the Contributions for the latest hot stuff. To keep up-to-date with latest developments be sure not to miss the monthly recaps, see: vvvvhat happened in November 2016

Still a view things have accumulated over the past year:

New

  • new MJpegStream (EX9.Texture Sender/Receiver) modules
  • new module for concave polygons Polygon (EX9.Geometry 2d Concave)

Fixes

helohelo,

this is just a minor bugfix release with 2 things in it:

  • the OneDollarRecognizer helppatch is now fixed
  • all Assimp nodes now got a version DX9 in order to no longer be confused with their DX11 counterparts

Please also make sure to read the beta34 release notes: Addons 45beta34-01

So helo, whats new here?

Kinect and Bullet nodes are both available in the addonpack and the DX11 pack. Until now this possibly caused confusion (red nodes) when you had both packs in use.

Now all Kinect and Bullet nodes in the addonpack have a DX9 version. So from now on, no more confusion, but: If you have older patches where you specifically want to target the DX9 versions you'll have to update that manually now. Sorry for that but we cannot do that conversion automatically.

A few new nodes by motzi, most notably the OneDollarRecognizer (2d). Make sure to check its helppatch.

And thanks to work by velcrome and microdee we were able to further reduce the list of nodes missing in 64bit builds.

Feel like supporting those efforts? See the list of flattrable vvvv users.

So what we got here?

If you speak Photoshop have a look at Hello Photoshop which explains a way to talk to a running photoshop instance on your network. Get images from it, send images to it and stuff... Anybody got an actual usecase for that?

For more details about whats new in this release please consult the change-log.

holala,

this is the addonpack for beta33.3. mostly bugfixes as far as i can see. until people add their stuff the changelog you can have a look at the recent pullrequests against the repo: https://github.com/vvvv/vvvv-sdk/pulls?q=is%3Apr+is%3Aclosed

thanks everyone for your fixes.

The bugfix-only release beta33.1 comes with a single new feature in the addonpack:
As Robin Müller pointed out FileStream (EX9.Texture VLC) can easily be included with x64 builds, thanks for that.

Read the rest of the news for the 33-series in the addons_45beta33_1 announcement.

may i have your attention please.

two major things in the addonpack this time:

HTMLTexture update
Everybody say thanks to meso for sponsoring an upgrade of the HTMLTexture nodes to now make use of CEF3, see htmltexture-node-using-cef-3-now

PolygonEditor
vvvv meisterschüler dominikKoller gives to you: The PolygonEditor (2d) which following the tradition of vvvvs other editors (Point, Grid, Mesh) is patched from the ground up (including multiselection, snapping, keyboard-interaction, serialization,...). Only this time in a quite modular manner allowing you to easily adapt its functionality to your personal needs. Also with a beautiful seperation between model and view allowing you to easily adapt this to DX11. For a first usecase, see the revamped: badmapper.

Plus the usual smaller fixes, as you can see in the changelog linked below. thanks everyone for your contributions.

it seems the only two new thing this time are:

  • Button (3d Quad/Mesh Multitouch) modules by motzi
  • SysLog (Raw Join/Split) nodey by sebl

also again have a look at the previous release notes: addons45beta321

changes, fixes and new stuff as you can see in the changelog.
be reminded that many treasures can be found among the contributions. if you like something from there to be in the addonpack make sure to bug the author to add it.

and remember that you now have an easy way to support fellow patchers and coders via flattr as explained in the flattr-on-vvvv.org blog post.
