from 26th to 28th of october in the course of OPEN(HE)ART - FAIR in leipzig, germany.

Strukt Design Studio, based in Vienna, Austria, is looking for an interns. We create interactive media installations and design concepts for corporate and cultural events.
As an intern you will work on projects as supporting staff member. You will never have to fix us coffee or pick up our food, no worries. We want you to be an essential part of the production. We will most likely challange you, but in return we will award you with more and more responsibility during jobs.
Our interactive media installation department works with VVVV but we also welcome students knowing processing, Actionscript 3 or C++. But what's most important to us is that your programming skills are completed by a strong sense for design and esthetics, since we are not only a studio for technical solutions but mainly providers for creative content running on our technical installations.
If you think you have something to add to our team, don't hesitate to contact us. We would prefer to meet you in person aswell, but if you are located too far away we are happy to have skype- or ichat-conferences as well.

Please feel welcome to visit the opening of my forthcoming exhibition in Berlin, not only showing photographs but a vvvv driven installation too. By showing two recently finished works and one newly started series, Patrick Raddatz, student at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach, opens his second solo exhibition on 22nd August 2009.
The title of a country song from 1947 »I Forgot More, Than You'll Ever Know« refers to the works »disjecta« and »now is blessed, the rest, remembered«, researching both the processes of recollections and their transformation in different ways. Whereas »disjecta« displays fragments of texts in a cut-up manner using discarded information systems, »now is blessed, the rest, remembered« traces the remainders of memories by means of Photography. The third, photographic and yet untitled work will be shown in a large format work in progress situation.
The exhibition was realized in cooperation with Secondhome Projects Berlin and MESO Digital Interiors.
I am looking for cooperation for a media art project in public space. Some knowledge of tracking and projection are important.
The interactive media art environment is dealing with the function, use and perception of public space. It makes a reference to nowadays optionality of public space functions within an experiment of innovative media technology.
Cubes, placed in passage zones like train stations or pedestrian underpasses are the interface between passenger and artifact and invites them to play with. He is prompted to interact with them and to cause interaction between the objects.
The production will take part between mid august and end of September (should probably be done in 1-2 weeks, laid-back), if necessary October could be arranged too. The official premiere presentation will be at the beginning of November in Salzburg, Austria.
Budget is available, meaning your expenses and some payment will be covered. As well as a technical equipment will be available.
