Lumacoustics Logo

Lumacoustics is looking for a full time software developer who specialises in vvvv to work in our London studio in a nice location, just east of the city center.

Among other projects, we’ve currently working on a number of digital elements, both visual and interactive, for an exciting major brand’s flagship store in London. We're also constantly working on our product YrWall and have some really exciting things happening with that over the next few months.

Our work is extremely varied and we're looking for someone who learns quickly, enjoys a challenge and has previous experience with different aspects and techniques of visual computing. Primarily you must have a keen eye for design and aesthetics but also a good understanding of vvvv.

Although you'll mainly be working in VVVV, someone with previous Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, C#/++ and general hardware experience would be a big plus.

Please email a CV or weblink to jobs@lumacoustics.co.uk.

Of course if you have questions about the role please email me. Salary depends on previous experience.

Also, we’re always looking for good talented people to come in on a 3 month paid internship so if you don’t quite fit the description above there still may be a role here for you so please get in contact.

Also, we often work with external freelancers so if you're one please offer your services to us.

Thanks,

N.O.H. was formed in 2007 by Steff Ungerer and Mike Wilson who have directed, composed, written and designed for theatre, opera, concerts, TV, computer games and art installations for more than ten years. As founders of burst tv London, their credits include work for the National Operas in London, Tokyo and Hamburg as well as shows for established acts like the Pet Shop Boys, Lady Gaga and Asian Dub Foundation.
They will be showing some footage from their shows and demoing how they use vvvv to sync multiple holographic projections, lighting using dmx and audio, with some realtime reactive elements.

Thanks Hadasi

Hi.

We are looking for a patching assistant in St.Petersburg, Russia.
We need patcher offline (means live in person), because we need to emergency change ready projects. Online (means distance job) is not suitable for that.

We are not care about your current vvvv skills and background.
Your ambitions to use vvvv as main tool are most important for us as well as your desire to do the job well.

Mostly we are working on multitouch applications.
Not vj-ing. Not contemporary art. Not video tracking.

You won't need to spend all day in our office, but you have to be ready to come any day. Money is in. But please remember we are not Gazprom and we are looking for assistant, not head patcher.

Feel free to contact bo27 in skype (andrey.bo.27) anytime i'm online. Or by email anytime. Hope you are smart enough to find my email and show me you are not a spambot.

Thanks.

This year's Alpha-Ville festival is happening in London from the 21st September until the 25th. As part of the festival there will be a weekend of digital installations in the very large basement of Netil House.

Hayden Anyasi as most of you will know of as Hadasi has for the past few weeks been putting together a vvvv lab which will reside in the centre of the Alpha-Ville digital installations at Netil House. The lab will host the very first vvvv team competition: PATCH SLAM.

The competition aims to pit three teams of five creatives against each other. The teams will be made up of three vvvv developers and two none developers who will work together to create an interactive performance. Each team's performance will centre around a young poet speaking a short poem. The poem's will be selected by a panel of judges from the Poet Society who have hosted a competition especially for PATCH SLAM.

The teams will receive their poem on the 18th September and will be able to begin work on the performance straight away. The performances will take place the following week over a three day period with one team performing on each day. At the end of the festival the public will vote online for their favourite piece.

To enter the competition please contact Hayden hayden@v4wednesday.com detailing your level with vvvv and if possible linking us to some of your vvvv work. If you are entering as a team please list all contact details for your team and links to portfolios. The final teams will be announced on Friday, 15th September so apply NOW if you would like to take part!
