Previously on vvvv: vvvvhat happened in October 2021
This past month we're happy to have released vvvv gamma 2021.4, the latest and greatest (so far). It took us much longer than originally planned, but probably that wasn't much of a surprise to many of you. Still, we're trying to get better with our predictions. So for the freshly updated roadmap, we tried to be a bit more conservative for a start and rather update it along the way. But it should give you a perspective already for the coming year.
Also, we tried to improve the Features section on the website to hopefully give a better impression and overview of what makes vvvv.
Then apologies for silently skipping the last two regularly scheduled meetups, but we now have a date announced: On December 7th, 8pm CET baxtan the great will host The final meetup of 2021 where everyone is invited to join and show us what you're working on.
We received updates to the following:
That was it for November. Anything to add? Please do so in the comments!
Mark the date! on December 7th, 8pm CET we gather to celebrate our 15th vvvvorld-wide meetup!
How will this work? Something like as always ;). So, fill up your bucket of popcorn and invite all your vvvvriends and vvvvamily to join us!
Please do! Anything more or less related to vvvv, yourself and your projects. Share some thoughts, share your funny fails. Or just ask some questions...
No sign-up, no line-up! We'll just have this an open call that anyone can join. Surprise!
Any questions? Get in touch via meetup@vvvv.org. See you there!

Nebula fills the space above the dance floor and bar of the club K-30 in St. Petersburg. Its image is inspired by a variety of interstellar nebulae that emit and scatter light.
Dynamic light spills through a translucent material from the top of the dance floor, creating the effect of a floating astronomical cloud that shimmers across the entire visible spectrum of colors. The installation consists of aluminum LED lines that serve as loads weighing down on a polyamide translucent fabric. The dimensions of the installation are 5×3×11 m.

At the heart of this installation is the image of reeds growing by the water and the unique sounds they make when the wind is blowing. We designed thin technological “stems” and kinetic “inflorescences” in the characteristic shape of reeds. They are controlled by the force of the wind, creating an effect of flickering light reacting to air currents. The installation is located right beside the water at the K-30 club promenade and lets viewers experience a futuristic reeded wilderness with a view of the Neva River.

I am hosting a 4 day workshop on data visualization/sonification a the UPDATE festival in Liepāja Latvia.
In October 2018 I was diagnosed with Leukemia (B-ALL) han have been through treatment from that day it was diagnosed in 2018 until late April 2021 where I took the last Chemo pill. I an now cured and well again.
In Denmark you can access all your medical data and is automatically collected on the common "sundhedsplatform" that all citizens have access to, where they can see their own data.
Seeing as a Patient in this treatment, the quite often daily blood tests are very important. After a while I could see some possibilities in using these data, it became obvious when I looked at the graph view of several of the blood parameters, here you can see Heamoglobin.
The workshop will take a subset of my blood data as starting point to see how it can be visualized/Sonified or whatever. It is of course also possible to use you own data if you have some interesting phenomenon you would like to explore.
The festival takes place in the physical world as well as online, so everyone can join. There are also other workshops and seminars that you can attend.
Disclaimer, as I have had chemo-brain for the most part of the past 3 years, the workshop is based on vvvv beta, I simply haven't had the headspace to get into it yet. I will welcome it if you dive into gamma, then I will try to join in the best I can.
Here goes!
We have a candidate for our upcoming release:

So please test and report your findings. If we don't find any complete show-stoppers within the next days, this is going to be it!
