Dialogue is an experimental art project where we explore the creative potential of computational communication. We set a simulation with two interacting cellular automata systems driven by neural networks to explore visual spaces their dialogue will lead them. The simulation was presented in real time on two pillar displays at the lighting and media art festival Glow in Shenzhen, China, at the end of 2020.

Any questions? Get in touch via meetup@vvvv.org. See you there!
Today I'll be giving a presentation at SIGGRAPH online 90% talking about vvvv. If anyone is attending :)
Hear from Takuma, a Visual and Spatial Artist, to get a firsthand look at the exploration of the visual/spatial parameters through the artistic creation of immersive visual worlds through real time graphics. He utilizes top tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, components of Intel® oneAPI Rendering Toolkit, and more.

So where are we?
We have a new release: Update your vvvv beta projects and licenses, vvvv beta 42 is here, including VL 2021.3.3. This means a lot of fixes and improvements!
And then we're still sorting things for the upcoming vvvv gamma 2021.4 release. Besides massive work on new features for VL.Stride as mentioned previously, recently VL.Skia 2d rendering got its GPU backend fixed. This improved its rendering performance and also made the VL.Stride SkiaRenderer node work for AMD cards.
Nothing much else to report at this point other than that while we're quite delayed on our roadmap, things are looking good code-wise. Remeber that you can always follow our daily progress by testing the latest previews. And please don't forget to report issues you find in the forum!

Helo from the devvvvlabs!
If you look at our roadmap, you can see that we had 2021.4 planned for release in June. Now that didn't happen. Here is what happened instead: Guess what, some things took longer than anticipated. So let's recap the state of currently available 2021.4 previews. Besides numerous bug fixes, here is what you already get:
Still in the works for the release: a UI for Settings, simple shader creation, Entity picking, a TexturePlayer. Other things like the planned NuGet update are currently on hold and may have to be moved to the next release.
As many of you do, you can always help by testing the latest previews and reporting issues in the forum!

Dear patchers,
this is vvvv beta 42, with mostly one significant change over the previous release:
32bit Version: core addons
64bit Version: core addons
Previously on vvvv: vvvvhat happened in April 2021
What's on and going?
I can tell you that:
We've just released a 2021.3.3 bugfix release including a killer feature: console export. think about it...
Then if you're brave enough to test drive the 2021.4 previews you'll now see the promised speed improvements while patching when working on larger projects. We're still aware of some hoops there, so please be gentle and report all your findings with this.
Coming up next: We're still working on smoothing out issues with TextureFX, building a UI for the settings and improving the NuGet integration for the coming release. Plus, if we're lucky there'll be some surprise goodies ready in time...
In case you missed it, you really missed some things. Here are the chapters from the last meetup for you to rewatch:

And as always have a look at the forums Work-In-Progress section for some more recent goodies...
