HeavyM is a software currently available on the web for downloading in its beta version since the 30th of September 2014 and it is free of charge. The goal is to make projection mapping accessible to all the creative people, with an easy-to-use and accessible tool. The application generates 2D real time animations for projecting them on volumes.

Download the current beta version : www.heavym.net

For more advanced projects, HeavyM is also compatible with Spout, in order to be used with vvvv.

No particular technical skills are required, a videoprojector is all you need to animate your live show, create an artistic installation, or bring your living room to life, thanks to the software.

From now on, its users will be able to simply and quickly set a interactive projection mapping, that means it can react to the sound of music.

Since the beta version was launched, the application counted more than 12 000 downloads in over 40 countries. The team built a community, made of loyal users that follow and support us.

They are currently running a Kickstarter campaign until June 30th 2015, in order to develop the most awaited features by their community of users.

Support the project and pre-order the new version at a special price :

Can you help me decide among these three laser show equipment please?

First, I'm buying from online shops

Second, my budget is 500€ max, so if you have a different recommendation please tell me.

Now, this is what I have narrowed my search:

Single Green laser light show with eight heads (32€, free shipping).
Eight claw Pro lighting Red Green dj laser light (47€, 27+20 shipping).
Eight Multicolored Red + Green + Purple 200mW nightclub laser light (61€, 55+6 shipping, i could not find this one cheaper).

If you have a better option for around the same price range please let me know. thanks guys!

PS:Sorry for my poor English.

Hi vvvvolks

Again - we have a free space at our shared office plus the possibility to work on hardware and analog stuff in our shared workshop.

The whole space is a large shared studio floor with 5 Studios and 10 Artists (three painters, one sculptor, two coders, two product designers, one precision mechanic, one 3d artist, one comic artist) at the southern end of Sonnenallee close to S-Bahn Köllnische Heide.

We have a large commonspace for meetings and any project-based experiments, (like larger projections etc...) a large freight elevator, some storage space and we will have a small garden.

We just moved in, so anyone joining will still be able to have quite an impact on our profile and the interior design of the space. Even so everything is already set to start working immediately.

rent: 150,- (including VAT and everything else - u need VAT ID because it's "gewerbe")

Inspired by inFORM table of MIT’s Tangible Media Group (and the futuristic hospital bed appeared in The Wolverine 3D movie), I started working on a patch in VVVV for controlling an “actuated matrix table”. The first use of the sotware I did is PLOTTING the 3D FUNCTIONs! It really funny…and visually stunning, expecially that looks very 8-bit style!
