@sanch, the current implementation is through a pixel shader, by transforming the incoming texture coordinates. I'm on irc now if you want to discuss

@XNDR, one of his links had a nice lense falre as a pixel shader, fully documented. For the record I am going to stay away from some of the cheesy filters :) sorry. The polar coordinates thing actually really interests me though, so I started that one

mmh lenseflares.. but seriously: with the advent of high dynamic range textures (think floating point rgb channels) the flares actually start to make sense - and are more beautiful than in the 90ies

i would like to have the photoshop layer effects, like dropshadow, contours, glows, fill with gradients etc... its a drop shadow disease...
edu, you have to fade the alpha channel of the geometry (the quad for example) not the layer. check out the "set alpha (color)"-node

@sanch...this is dome projections, i'm working on this but split into 6 seperate projections. cool that more ppl are into it. will update the dome thread next week with progress and problems

@sanch: Ahh I see is it a dome projection system? Like a skybox/Sphere in a game. I will do some research.
