tonfilm, Friday, Apr 7th 2006

@marc_s. super! and now you do for sure a little tutorial for us ... that we learn howto to do freeframe plugins ls. vvvv :)

MrBenefit, Thursday, Apr 6th 2006

@oschatz thx :), i'll try't tomorrow...

11lx, Thursday, Apr 6th 2006

midishortout wants to send always 3 bytes. try 2 bytes MTCQuarterFrame plus 1 byte ActiveSense. Never tried that for myself. http://www.borg.com/~jglatt/tech/midispec.htm

oschatz, Thursday, Apr 6th 2006

has anyone a clue how to send midi-timecode with the midishortmessageout??

11lx, Thursday, Apr 6th 2006

R0b, Thursday, Apr 6th 2006

@11lx its a macbook pro, and its working a treat now! See retro snapshot!

catweasel, Thursday, Apr 6th 2006

that benchmark woul great!! @michel renders @56fps with retro-startup-patch from sanch included in the new version. decent i think, don't know the exact specs of the g-card though @catweasel how the mm doing?

11lx, Thursday, Apr 6th 2006

8 hours of constant patching in the dome, dome video files (mpg) play badly with v4, no idea right now to solve this....damn

u7angel, Thursday, Apr 6th 2006

to 11lx: how does the rendering perform on your mac book?

michel, Wednesday, Apr 5th 2006

@11lx Had a streamlined xp disk, need a full one, its somewhere amongst the tower of disks....I'll try tomorrow I think!

guest, Wednesday, Apr 5th 2006

@catweasel got a patch from u7, asked for some heavy stuff, gets it working quite good with the startupversionpatch from sanch. we should test some more perf.things. sadly its not mine ;(((

11lx, Wednesday, Apr 5th 2006

sanch, Wednesday, Apr 5th 2006

what???

sanch, Tuesday, Apr 4th 2006

who made that video of sanch doing his v4-patches? (12:56 UTC, 04.04.06) ;)

zepi, Tuesday, Apr 4th 2006

kiilo: sorry, I meant FT232... not 323 :-)

R0b, Tuesday, Apr 4th 2006

kalle: the dongle is surely not designed for professional environments, but comparing the price to other usb dongles, I'm happy with that :-)

R0b, Tuesday, Apr 4th 2006

kiilo: It is an FTDI FT323B(L|M). You should get a driver from http://www.ftdichip.com/

R0b, Tuesday, Apr 4th 2006

hhhm...dmx allows ~20fps, when all channels are used. mostly the interface to PC is the bottleneck. you might set your flashlights to startadress 509 and 511 and send full 512channels to get a clue about the performance...

kalle, Tuesday, Apr 4th 2006

just having some problems with this device under OS X funny :-/ anybody knows which USB2serial ic is used?

kiilo, Tuesday, Apr 4th 2006

kalle: no sorry. At the moment I only use it for two flashlights (two channels each). Performance can't be that worse, DMX is nothing heavily loading, I think.

R0b, Tuesday, Apr 4th 2006

Hi R0B! How is the performance of that DMX4ALL USB-Device? Did you ever use it with lots of channels?

kalle, Tuesday, Apr 4th 2006

so better keep on using it for art ...

tonfilm, Tuesday, Apr 4th 2006

that's scary

u7angel, Tuesday, Apr 4th 2006
